The Las Vegas Aces punched their ticket to the semifinals and did so in record-breaking fashion.

On Saturday night, the Las Vegas Aces got some revenge on the Phoenix Mercury after being eliminated in five games in last year’s semifinals. The Aces set a WNBA record with 23 made three-pointers in the 117-80 win over the Mercury. The win gave them a sweep and advanced them to the semifinals.

The 23 three-pointers were the most made in a regular season or playoff game and eight players made at least one three-pointer in the game.

Vegas jumped out to a 34-30 lead after one quarter, making their first 10 attempts of the game. But it was the second quarter where they really made their mark, outscoring the Mercury 29-14 to grab 63-44 lead.

They never looked back, en route to the win.

Chelsea Gray led the way with 27 points on 9-of-11 shooting while Kelsey Plum dropped 22 in the win. Next up for the Aces is a matchup with the Seattle Storm in the semifinals.
