Davante Adams traded to the New York Jets

The Davante Adams era in Las Vegas is officially over.

After a few weeks of trade speculation, the Las Vegas Raiders have officially moved on from Adams, sending him to the New York Jets. The Raiders will receive a third-round pick with condition. That pick could become a second-round pick.

Davante Adams became unhappy with the Raiders and the direction the franchise was going sources say. He then was showing his displeasure and eventually being granted a trade. The Raiders did have offers from a few teams. In the end they decided to send him to New York.

Adams missed the past few games with a hamstring injury, sitting out for the Raiders as they were seeking a trade partner. He now joins a Jets team that is still in the AFC East race despite a loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

It was clear that the Jets needed to add some more offense around Aaron Rodgers.

Adams time in Las Vegas was only three seasons and for what the Raiders gave up, it can be considered a disappointment. The wide receiver wanted to play with his college quarterback Derek Car. But that lasted one year after Carr was traded to the New Orleans Saints.

Davante Adams finishes his Raiders career with 221 receptions for 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns.

By heading to New York, Adams reunites with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The two spent eight seasons together in Green Bay and when trade rumors swirled regarding Davante Adams, there was an easy connection due to their friendship.

Adams caught 669 passes for 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns in his eight seasons with Green Bay. The two will now look to rekindle that connection and help get the Jets on track.
