The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-2 following their win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The Raiders’ record should prohibit them from being sellers in the trade market for the next few weeks. However, the Raiders situation could be different by the trade deadline on Nov. 5.
It’s questionable that wide receiver Davante Adams will be on the Raiders by then after head coach Antonio Pierce signaled a change could be coming to the team.
The Las Vegas Raiders didn’t want to trade their star WR
Per a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter before the Raiders Week 4 game, Pierce’s “business decision” comments had nothing to do with Adams, and the Raiders don’t wish to part with their star wide receiver.
“Those comments led to speculation the Raiders would consider trading Adams, but that is not currently an option — nor was it last summer.
“The Raiders rejected multiple teams that approached them over the summer, inquiring whether Adams would be available in a trade, according to league sources. The Raiders considered an Adams trade a nonstarter and turned away at least two teams before an offer could even be made, according to sources.”
But things might not be rosy inside the locker room.
Antonio Pierce hints at a Davante Adams trade
As @RaidersAQ pointed out on X, Pierce liked a post on Instagram by Sports Illustrated that suggests Adams “played his last snap” with Las Vegas.
Is AP trolling ?

It’s unclear why Pierce would like a post hinting at a trade of Adams. The like could have been accidental, or it could be Pierce telling the world what he wants the Raiders front office to do with their star receiver.

Adams has been rumored to be a trade target pretty much since he arrived in Las Vegas. This season feels a little different, as the Raiders appear to be in rebuild mode and have a rocky quarterback situation.
Adams recorded 18 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown through the season’s first three weeks. Adams missed the Raiders win over the Browns due to a hamstring injury.
