The trash talk is staring between TJ Dillashaw and Aljamain Sterling ahead of UFC 280 in October

TJ Dillashaw isn’t one to shy away and hold back his comments in the UFC. And we have more evidence of that here on Tuesday as he goes after Aljamain Sterling.

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Dillashaw called out bantamweight title holder Sterling and he didn’t hold back.

“I haven’t been impressed with his wrestling,” Dillashaw told MMA Junkie. “He’s a (Division III) wrestler, and I’ve been wrestling D1. I think his takedown defense is under 50 percent. His striking is … it’s embarrassing that he’s the champion his striking is that bad. It’s God awful. He uses his awkwardness to his advantage, but when you start throwing with him he just cowers. I don’t know. There’s a lot there. I can out-grapple you, I can out-strike you. I’m going to put on a clinic.”

Sterling won the belt by way of disqualification at UFC 259 when Petr Yan used an illegal knee. He retained the belt in April with a win over Yan by decision. It’s simple, Dillahawk thinks that Sterling is boring and felt the need to call him out for it.

The two will settle it in the Octagon on October 22nd at UFC 280.
