Jorge Masvidal didn’t hold back calling out Conor McGregor for his next fight

Jorge Masvidal potentially has his eyes set on returning to the octagon soon and when he does, he wants it against Conor McGregor.

The 37-year-old Masvidal was last in the octagon back in March, losing his bout with Colby Covington at UFC 272. But now, he wants a piece of McGregor when he returns for his next fight and he didn’t hold back calling out the former champ.

Here is what Masvidal told MMA Fighting about a potential return and what opponent makes the most sense:

‘The one that makes the most sense is that little b**** Conor,’ Masvidal said.

‘I wouldn’t mind getting a fat paycheck for beating that midget’s a** up. I don’t know if it’s going to happen.

‘Gilbert [Burns] makes sense, but Leon [Edwards] has been calling me out left and right saying he wants to defend the title against me [if he beats Kamaru Usman at UFC 278].

‘Let’s go, I’ll go to England and beat your a** again.’

While Masvidal wants to return, he has some obstacles in his way. He needs to heal up but he’s also facing some felony charges when he allegedly attacked Covington in Miami back in March. That trial for the case begins in August.

The interview with Masvidal is good and I recommend checking out the full thing at MMA Fighting as he offers insight as to where he’s at on a potential return.
