The Raiders address a big need on offense in first mock draft by PFF

The 2023 NFL draft is still months away as we are just four weeks into the 2022 season but the Las Vegas Raiders already have some big needs for the upcoming offseason.

Pro Football Focus released its first mock of the 2023 cycle, picking all 31 first-round picks including the Silver and Black. They have Las Vegas picking at No. 17 overall in the upcoming draft and with the pick, they address the offensive line. Ohio State offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. is the pick for the Raiders in the mock, helping them get some much-needed help on the offensive line:

Another Buckeye goes in the first round, and this time it’s right-guard-turned-left-tackle Paris Johnson Jr. His foot speed has shined on the edge, where he’s allowed only three pressures on 152 pass-blocking snaps this season.

Anyone that has watched Raiders games this year can tell you that the offensive line is a BIG need for this team. Not only do they need to do a better job of protecting quarterback Derek Carr but also in run blocking.

This pick does make sense for the franchise as it would possibly give them a cornerstone piece on the offensive line.

But again, there is a LONG ways to go until the 2023 NFL draft and things could change in a hurry.

Make sure to check out our Las Vegas Raiders forum for the latest on the team.
