The Raiders will release running back Kenyan Drake per a report on Monday

With NFL teams having to cut down their rosters to 80 players ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, the Las Vegas Raiders are getting an early start on the moves. According to Tom Pelissero, the Raiders are expected to release veteran running back Kenyan Drake:

Drake signed with the Raiders in 2021 free agency but played limited last year after suffering an injury early in the year. He finished the year with 63 carries and just 254 rushing yards.

After drafting Zamir White and seeing Josh Jacobs return, the Raiders could go with that tandem backfield for this season now that Drake is gone.

The Raiders have now made two moves before the deadline as they traded quarterback Nick Mullens earlier in the day. They have three more cuts or moves to make.
