The Raiders reportedly offered Josh Jacobs a big deal

The saga between the Las Vegas Raiders and running back Josh Jacobs is still ongoing as training camp is officially here. At a time where running backs are not being valued as they once were, Jacobs is looking for a big deal to stay in Las Vegas.

But according to a new report, the team tried to get close to his demands.

NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo reported on “The Rich Eisen Show” that the Raiders offered Jacobs a deal around $12 million per year:

“My understanding is that Josh Jacobs got an offer from the Raiders around $12 million per year,” Garafolo said.

If that offer is true, it would be top five in the NFL for annual money at the position. With the Raiders using the tag on Jacobs, they want him to continue to prove his worth. They also want to pay him what they think is far.

And it’s clear the two sides are way off.

Jacobs is owed $10.091 million with the tag if he plays this season. However, it doesn’t appear as if he wants to do that leading to some problems here in training camp.

Will this get solved? Stay tuned.
