Nicolas Roy agrees to a five year contract extension with Golden Knights

Forward Nicolas Roy is staying in Las Vegas with the Golden Knights for at least another five years.

The franchise announced on Monday that they have agreed to a five-year contract extension with Roy,  including an average annual value of $3M and a total of $15M. The 25-year-old was a restricted free agent this offseason but Las Vegas valued him enough to keep him around through the 2026-27 season.

Roy is coming off a breakout year finishing with 39 points (15 goals, 24 assists) in 78 games, all career-highs for the forward.

The hope for Vegas now is that Roy can continue that and get better as the years go on.
