Chandler Jones slammed the Las Vegas Raiders in social media posts

The Las Vegas Raiders will open up the 2023 NFL season this Sunday when they play in Denver against the Broncos. And on Tuesday, they received some news they really didn’t want to see on social media from Chandler Jones.

The defensive end had a series of posts that are now since deleted, stating that he does not want to play for the Raiders. He then went on to say that he wanted to speak to Antonio Brown and Aldon Smith about their problems with the Raiders per NBC Sports. The posts suggested that Jones was unhappy with head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler.

Chandler Jones deletes Raiders posts

It didn’t take long for Jones to delete the messages from social media, which could be a good sign for the Raiders. The team would obviously love to mend things with the pass rusher as he’s a key piece to the defense this season.

However, this is still something you don’t want to see when you are five days away from the start of the upcoming season.

Jones is coming off a 2022 season in which he had 4.5 sacks and 3 tackles for loss in his first year with the Raiders. Prior to that, he spent time with New England and Arizona, showing he can be a dominant pass rusher.

The hope is that Jones can do that for the Raiders and complement Maxx Crosby on that defensive line.
