The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly shopping a wide receiver ahead of the deadline
The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to build a win streak after beating Green Bay at home on Monday Night Football in Week 5. With the New England Patriots coming to town in Week 6, Josh McDaniels and the Raiders want to build on that. But as they get ready for the upcoming game, some trade rumors are popping up surrounding the team. And they involve Hunter Renfrow.
Per a report from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Raiders are focused on winning and are looking for a pass rusher. They are reportedly shopping Hunter Renfrow ahead of the deadline:
There have been whispers around the league that Josh McDaniels could be in trouble if Las Vegas doesn’t start winning, so this team is in win-now mode. Look for Las Vegas to get into the pass rusher market after releasing Chandler Jones. And league sources say they are trying to trade receiver Hunter Renfrow, whom they have used minimally this season.
Hunter Renfrow could be on the move
With the Raiders releasing Chandler Jones, they really need a pass rusher opposite of Maxx Crosby. Using a piece like Renfrow does make sense, especially with the emergence of Jakobi Meyers at receiver.
The Raiders likely don’t want to give up any draft picks, either. That makes more sense in terms of giving up a player like Renfrow in a deal.
Nothing appears imminent in terms of a trade as of now. But when an inside like Russini reporting that, there appears to be some smoke to a fire.
