Raiders earn ‘A’ grade for divisional win over Broncos by CBS Sports

CBS Sports gave the Raiders some praise following the Week 4 win over the Broncos

Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders are in the win column following Sunday’s 32-23 win over Denver at home. And it was a MUCH NEEDED win for the Silver and Black.

The win moves the Raiders to 1-3 on the season and gives them a little confidence heading into the Week 5 primetime showdown against Kansas City. The slow start to the year have put the Raiders in a hole, but getting that divisional win was key for the team.

So how did the national media react to the win?

CBS Sports released their grades for every game this week including the Vegas win and they gave Las Vegas an ‘A’ for getting that big win:

This was a very good performance on both sides of the ball for Vegas, which got its first win of the season as a result. Maxx Crosby and Josh Jacobs were the big stars, though Davante Adam’s stepped up as well and Amik Robertson came through with a big scoop-and-score on a fumble. Avoiding a potential 0-4 start here was huge. It was also huge for Josh McDaniels, who got his first NFL coaching win since November 2010.

    Still work to do

Although the Raiders have a long ways to go, this is a positive step forward for the team under McDaniels this season.

The test does get tougher but even if the Raiders lose and show a lot of fight, it may make us feel a little better about the situation. However, we all know what a win could do for this team not only getting them to 2-3 but handing Kansas City its second loss of the year. It would also give the Chiefs a divisional loss which could be a factor down the stretch.

The Raiders need to just take it one game at a time.
