The Jakobi Meyers injury update isn’t great news for the Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will likely be without a key weapon in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills. On Wednesday, Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels provided an update on wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, and it’s not a good one.
McDaniels told the media on Wednesday that Jakobi Meyers is still in concussion protocol after taking a hit in the Week 1 win over Denver. Meyers obviously wasn’t practicing as the Raiders prepared for the Week 2 showdown with the Bills.

The head coach had no additional details on Meyers other than he was still in protocol.
Jakobi Meyers has big debut
Meyers got his Raiders career off to a good start in Week 1, catching 9 passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. He left the game late as the Raiders were able to hold on.
With Meyers healthy, the Raiders have another weapon opposite of Davate Adams on the receiving core, which is great news for the offense. However, depending on how long he will be out, it could make life a little more difficult for Garoppolo and what they want to do offensively. And a BIG test awaits in a very good Bills defense on the road this upcoming Sunday.
