Davante Adams had to leave Friday’s practice against the 49ers early with an injury
The Las Vegas Raiders are prepping for their preseason opener against the San Franciso 49ers by participating in joint practices. Getting to practice against another team holds value for a Raiders team that comes into this year with some question marks.
But what you don’t want to see is a star player getting hurt.
During Friday’s joint practice, wide receiver Davante Adams had to leave practice with a right leg injury. The receiver took a hit from Jimmie Ward and was looked at by the trainers. He walked to the locker room with a limp:

That’s certainly not good.
Following practice, head coach Josh McDaniels discussed the play and provided an update on Adams’ injury.
“I haven’t seen anything. I don’t think it was crazy serious,” McDaniels said. “It was just kind of a bang-bang play. Totally clean on both sides.”
It’s good news to hear McDaniels say that he doesn’t believe it’s anything serious. He also echoed similar thoughts as 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks who didn’t think it was a dirty hit either. Another update should be made soon regarding Adams and it’s unlikely he plays in the preseason opener between the two teams.
