Davante Adams is building chemistry with his new quarterback in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Raiders are gearing up for a new season as training camp is officially underway for Josh McDaniels’ team. And while the team made a switch at quarterback, wide receiver Davante Adams is still here and is still among the elite at his position.
Adams will be the go-to guy for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo this year and the Raiders have no plans on changing that. So far early on in camp, Garoppolo is finding that connection with Adams.
“Well, first it’s good to be together and finally get to work,” Davnate Adams said via Silver & Black Pride. “But yeah, he looks good. It’s a process though, we have a lot of things to work through and get on the same page and keep working at it together. But it was definitely a good first day.”
“I thought we had a pretty good day today, Garoppolo added. “A couple [plays] here and there that we could have hit a little better. But overall, I thought it was pretty good.”
With Garoppolo’s injury in the offseason, the two really couldn’t build that chemistry through reps. Now, they have to rely on training camp to build that up ahead of the regular season.
It’s very early but this is a good sign that the two can develop that connection and hopefully make life hard on opposing defenses.
